Perpetual Motion

splashMy thoughts are in perpetual motion.

Where am I going next? What is he thinking? That’d be a good name for a cat. That’d be a good indie band name. Do I hate her? I’m sorry. I’m confused. I need new shoes. I have too many things. Do I say hi or pretend I never saw them?

And my body is in perpetual motion.

Blink. Beat. Wave. Twitch. Walk. Transmit. Run. Sleep. Bump. Think. Dream. Cry. Smile. Cramp. Scratch. Stretch.

The world is in perpetual motion—spin spin spin.

So when I ask him “What are you doing?” and he says “Nothing” I know that’s the end. I can’t love a liar.

Welcome to Microvember, my take on NaBloPoMo. Each day this month I’ll be posting microfiction, short vignettes, or poetry, accompanied by photography. See more Microvember posts here

Even if the truth was “I’ve just found the perfect Christmas present for you and I am just ordering it now”? ;)
