This photo could easily serve as the cover art for a book about a young girl who loses her parents, either in a crowd or to death, and the struggles that come along with it. Or, if this girl grew up to be a singer, she could use it for an album of songs about her childhood. Either way, her expression is powerful and I love how she’s clutching her necklace.
