Xenophile

He had an overwhelming love for everything foreign

XEverything unlike him.

Their music was better,

Their skin color was better,

Their despair was better.

His American sadness was mediocre,

But, oh, in Morocco,

His sadness would be extraordinary,

Memoir-worthy, even.
