They Can Feel The World

sad baby

You’re not a baby if you feel the world
All of the babies they can feel the world
That’s why they cry

-The Blow

This is a response to the Daily Post’s Weekly Photo Challenge: Half-Light (a challenge to post photos inspired by poems, stories, song lyrics, and other collected texts). These words come from “Parentheses” by The Blow.

  1. It’s true that lots of babies come into the world with a wisdom (and sometimes a sadness) that clearly comes from something other than their few hours or months on this planet. I am convinced that we are eternal souls with multiple lives, and that Earth is a place of relative sorrow and challenge compared to other realms. That said, it is also a place to learn to transcend pain and experience love.
